How does money get into my balance?

Every account gets its own account number at a partner bank. Transfer to it from any Nigerian bank and it lands in your balance automatically, usually within a minute.

Question 3

Is the account number really mine?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It is issued in your name once your identity is verified, and it stays yours. It is not a shared account with a reference code to quote.

What if a payment does not go through?

Accepted Answer

If the operator rejects it or cannot deliver, the amount returns to your balance automatically and the transaction is marked failed. You do not have to ask for it back.

Question 5

Where does my prepaid electricity token appear?

Accepted Answer

On the receipt, as soon as the operator issues it — and it stays in your history, so you can find it again weeks later.

Question 6

What happens if I type a meter or decoder number wrong?

We check the number with the operator and show you the registered name before you confirm. If the name looks wrong, nothing has been paid.

Does topping up cost anything?

We do not charge for funding by bank transfer. Your own bank may apply its standard transfer fee.
